Does anyone have this on their (Stihl) saw, and if so what do they think of it.

I'm sure you guys who run the BIG saws won't respond but was curious for us weekend warriors!

I have a MS180 that has the quick adjuster and I love it.  No tool to try to carry through the underbrush and over the fir limbs.  Chain got loose? No problem, just a couple seconds and it's adjusted again.  Seems to work great on this little saw.
I eat a high-fiber diet.  Lots of sawdust!

My smallest saw is a 018C that has the quick adjustment. Very convenient, no bar tool to carry along.
Just cause your head's pointed, don't mean you are sharp.

I've got an 025 with the quick adjust and it works ok.  I have to be sure and get it good and tight.  To the point that the plastic handle flexes or else the chain won't stay tight.  It works ok, but for the money I had just as soon have the standard adjustment.  If you have a still saw case, the wrench is on the bar cover right alone with the file. ;)

Baileys has this neat little rubber gromet that goes on the handle of your saw and holds your scrench and it works very well and is cheap.

Something else is wrong. You should not have to over-tighten to keep the chain adjusted. First check to be sure your chain is sharp and you are getting enough oil to the bar. These are two common items that can cause a chain to "stretch" or loosen and give the false perception that the sprocket cover nuts (or the quick adjuster) are coming loose.

I use a 270CQS, the quick adjuster is nice till you want to flip the bar over.

StihlDoc, it may be just my saw I don't know.  I had the problem from the git go.  The problem being that the chain would get loose after just one cut and sure enough the knob would be loose.  I took it back to the dealer and told the mechanic what was going on and asked what I might be doing wrong and he told me that I was just afraid of breaking the knob. ::)  I push the bar up when tightning, keep it clean and I still have to snug it pretty good.  :)  After I had to start buying saws with auto oilers I always make sure the chain is slinging oil. :)  It may just be too high tech for me. ;D

Check the bar mount and make sure you have the bar that matches the saw.
The chain adjuster should fit in the bar hole for the adjuster.

Naw, it's the right bar.  I'm not torquing it any more than you would with a nut and wrench.  Actually I'm probably not going as high as I would with a wrench because it's harder for me to grasp the handle than it would be a wrench.  ;)  Now if it should only be snugged, like say with your thumb and maybe first two fingers let me know cause I know where my dealer lives. ;D ;D   Right now it envolves a thumb and four other digits. ;D

I put the base of my thumb on the front of the turner and grab the back and give it all I've got.

Not much problem with it coming loose and I haven't broken it ........ yet  :)  And I'm very good at breaking things....even metal things ::)
