Gang, as I peruse the list, I frequently see refernces to the annual FF pig roast.
Being something of a newbie on here, I am ever grateful for the knowledge, laughs, humor, camaraderie, and general feeling of respect in here.
In seeing the Pig Roast information, and how many people get together for it, I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to share the particulars of it, how one rates an invitation, and what the general parameters are.
That way, if I rate an invite, I can put it on the board to make SURE I get there!
I believe that the recent ones went in August, which about the same time I plan a vacation for.
Would someone be so kind to share the info with me?
Thanks in advance!
Dave

Well only stuck up professionals are invited!

:D
Kidding! Only kidding! :D :D :D
I would dare say that as a member, you fall into the invited category. ;)
Look to the left side of the screen under the sponsors is a countdown for the roast that will be held on August 5th.
Now, you could still win a two night stay at a loacal B&B if you can find a black piggy by following the clues.

I went last year. If you can go.....go!
It was pretty neat meeting and chatting with these folks.

Gang-
Thanks for the info!
Now that we've cleared that up, would someone be so kind to fill me in on the details, such as location, what I should bring, and the like?
Being that it's a pig roast, perhaps some mesquite cut offs for smoking....?

The Location is here at my home in Harrison Michigan. The date of the 2006 pigroast is Saturday August 5th, but we have folks hanging out for a couple days on either side of that to visit and help out.

Bringing something is totally, totally unnecessary. Some folks do choose to bring a dish to pass, or perhaps a door prize for our fun drawing we have, but again, the only thing we really want you to bring is yourself. :)

Of course, Treecyclers, you'll also have to prepare yourself to relax, do a lot of visiting and eat until you are satisfied.  The last couple of years Jeff had some "Hit and Miss" engines that would get fired up every once in a while.  Last year one was attached to a big saw and was sawing cookies from a large log.......and then there was the Russian chainsaw that got started up too.  Wives and children are welcome too.  It's a fun and relaxing day.

Hoo, boy. That's a tall order!
Eat until I am satisfied? Do a lot of visitin'?
Lemme ask yas this - How's a gentleman s'posta do the visitin when his mouth's full o' incredibly deelishus chow?
Mebbe I should bring along an extra cow, to make sure that EVERYONE gets some!
(My ex hated it when I did the grocery shoppin, as I would come back with tons of food!)
Oh, and my dinner plate is about the size of a tractor tire!
Hmmmmm...good food that I don't have to cook? I'm on it!
ROAD TRIP!
WOOHOO!
