I just picked up a used Shindaiwa 757 for use on the bigger stuff.  32" bar
full wrap handle, double dogs, and pro filter system.  It had only been used for trimming a couple of times by a feller who was planning on clearing 30 acres but ended up hiring a faller.  It had the original bar and chain on it and I swear it looks brand new.  Got it delivered to my doorstep on the same day I purchased it for $500 plus $20 for his gas from a couple hours away.  How'd I do? 8)

I've used a 377 (I think) and a 500.  I really like them both.  I've never seen prices on them but I like the saws.

I picked up a Shindaiwa 500 20 years ago for $100.  I ran the heck out of that thing and she was running great right up to the time I dropped it some distance.  I didn't pay to get her repaired, but probably recouped a bit of my investment if I parted it out.  I've got a 488 and a 360 that have been doing most of the work around here.  The 360 is a good little saw but I question why they made it with only one bar stud.

You still have the 500?

No. I got rid of it after it broke.

I have run 757's for a few years. The only one I have now is slightly modded!

While the 757 doen't have the speed or the lightweight of it's Husky and Stihl counterparts is has a lot of torque for running big bars!!!

I have alot of saws and still reach for the 757 if I want a lighter saw with big bar capabilities!

As far as price, you did good!!!

Hey Alderman,

Have you had a chance to run the 757???

I fired her up a couple days ago and took out a small tree.  Certainly nothing to put it to the test yet.  I've got some bigger stuff I'll be taking out this coming fall and then I'll have a better idea of how she performs.
