Well, it is still dark in this corner of the world, but the sun promises to rise on a gorgeous Thanksgiving Day in about an hour or so.  The coyotes are singing in the back woodlot, probably complaining there's no free breakfast (last weekend was opening day of deer season here).  In the quiet of the house, as the fireplace starts to take the chill off the morning air, I was pondering all the many, many things for which I am thankful and how much God has blessed me this past year, and this forum came to mind.  Everyone - each contributor - has added to my life experience and knowledge by taking the time to ask questions and post their stories.  Thanks!! ;D ;D ;D

And a special thanks to the administrator and the different forum moderators - you folks have given freely of your own time, talents, and energy.  God bless you on this Thanksgiving Day! :)

Regards,
Frank

Happy Thanks Giving Frank and to all the rest of the US.  :)

Your howling coyotes reminds me of when we hunted years ago in an area that was in close proximity to a road kill dump.  ::) We had bird hunting dogs and between them talking back and forth with the coyotes and grandfather getting all worked up over the noise and firing off his shotgun in the middle of the night to quiet stuff down, a fella never got much sleep at night.  But, ya had to be up 2 or 3 hours before daylight just the same.  ::)

Frank B is right! This forum is great. Thanks to all who make it happen. I really try to do business with the sponsors. Soon I will come out of Lurkerville and post the pics of my FF log arch on wheels and on the trailer. Will post pics of the camp also.

Spent Thanksgiving eve and day away from the family with one of my dogs at the animal hospitial. Don't know what got him, chewing on a small piece of red oak near the wood pile and soon after he could not hold his head up. Vet said he was in critical condition yesterday but he pulled out last night - this morning. Looks like he is going to be fine in time.

I'm giving BIG, BIG THANKS this day.
Wildlife Action, GA. A great place for kids. No lights, no phone, no motorcars, not a single luxury. Just the GREAT OUTDOORS and the reason I am learning to mill and build small log cabins.

Sorry to hear about your dog's health problems. A friend of mine has a short haired pointer and she has epileptic episodes every once in awhile. Reminds me, I haven't heard tell of him for about a year. He's gone out to Idaho to work after leaving a job in Virginia. He keeps getting further and further away from New Brunswick. Next he'll probably head to Costa Rica and pick bugs off crtreedude's teak. ;) Don't know why he disappeared from the forum. Work, family and other priorities I suppose.  ;)
