Howdy, folks!  :)

After a very long odyssey, my wife and I are moving ever closer to purchasing raw land in western Massachusetts [northwest Hampden County].  As our hottest prospect is fairly heavily forested, I'm very interested in identifying the various tree species that are growing on the parcel.

Being as southern as the sawgrass, I figured that the best way to learn about the trees in this area would be to contact some sort of forestry expert.  Can anyone offer any names, or other helpful advice, in this regard?

Have a great holiday   :)

I work with a forester who used to be a Mass. State forester and could easily help you out.

I will send you his contact information if you send me an e-mail or PM through the Forestry Forum.  I don't want to post e-mails or phone #'s here.

Thank you, Ron and Jon !  :)

Yes, Jon, I will work on contacting you for that information.  By the way, what type of engineering are you involved with?

Have a great day ...   ;D
