Didn't even know I had killed it until passing close with the Rider.

I think it is high time to unbury one of my favorite threads as an attempt to help Jeff deal with his snake phobia... ;)

I have a few new pictures of snakes - I will try to find them tomorrow - and now that the season is warming up in the north, there should be a few pictures available?

Just this afternoon while I was spraying the ditch bank I run across a little garder snake'bout 18''. He was a cute little fella and I called to the wife sitting on the swing in the front yard to come see'em but buy the time she got to me it done slithered back under some weeds. Maybe next time. ;D

I've already chopped the heads off of 3 Terciapelos(sp) . All were about 15"-20" long. Them's Venemous 8) ;D ;D

I was visitinng with member Sid the other day and had to pass by his pond on the way to the house. He had an old tire floating on one end of the pond. I thought, I'll bet he's waiting for the wind to blow that to the end so that he can get it out.

Well, it turned out it was a moccasin. He had shot it with 22 hornet the day before and it had gone to the bottom. It had just risen not long before I saw it and he had plans to get it out. It looked to me to be bigger than my forearm and as long as my leg. Putting inches aside, that's still a big moccosin. A Cotton Mouth is an aggressive snake and will chase you, while Rattlers and other snakes will run. I'd sure hate to have this one after me. I was hoping that he would take a picture of it. Guess he didn't.
