Sorry for the delay, :D

We are back up and running, It took about 4 hrs to get everything going, The only real problem we had was with the new motor mounts not being tapped all the way through, The rest of the time was basicly spent doing the wiring and fuel system.

The starter on the new motor is on the opposite side so the wires have to be added to. WM has a "wiring kit" with all that you need.

The other step is the fuel system, since the new motor is FI you have to mount a elec. fuel pump and a return line. You must also have a new style fuel tank with the extra spot for the fuel return...

All and all very simple, WM makes it real easy with step by step directions and color photo's to guide you along the way...

I have got to say a big thanks to greg brock from WM, greg if'n your here stand up.  ;D

Also a huge koodoo's to Mike and rust reaper, Not only a big help in getting all thoughs bolts off, but each of the new ones going on got a little shot also, just incase they have to come off again.

I will take so pics of the new set up as soon as we get an extra minute...

Hey ron, the new motor runs great, Seems to have a lot more power, but who knows how long the onan had been hurting. The motor is also very quick to come up to speed.

The kohler has a whole different sound, not nearly as loud. Physically the motor seems smaller, I would guess it is because the onan was a flat and the kohler is a "V"...

I bought a 97 WM in August 2005.  Had about 5800 hours. The Onan gave me some trouble a couple times and my handy mechanic adjusted valves twice to get the necessary compression. The third time he ordered new valves, but things were still not just up to snuff. I made the plung and bought a 24 HP Honda.- 2500 $ here in Canada. We had to make some minor adjustments, but the mill works great now. Lots of power, quieter, and less fuel.

I have the Onan available for sale if you know anyone in eastern Canada looking for parts.

What would a fair price be for it?
