I've been building this thing for over a year now so here are a few pictures. I'll take some of the inside in a few days.
The siding is tulip poplar board and batten stained with a "natural" finish. Roof is metal, size of building is a 24'X32' with a 40'X32" addition.

Mobile Demension sawmill, Bobcat 873 loader, 3 dry kilns and a long "to do" list.

Man, that is a good looking shop!  I really like that B&B poplar.  Very nice high ceiling it looks like, but we will need some pics of the inside to tell for sure ;D.

The building is looking good Steve. 8)  What's that white stuff on the ground?

The white stuff is solid frozen rain. We got plenty of that this past week.

The insides are red oak on the walls and cotton wood on ceiling. I'll get some pictures soon.

It does look good.  I have just about finished my shop (I've been using it for months as it is), but I already wish I had gone with 9 or 10 foot walls.  Standard 8 foot will cause me some trouble with larger projects.

Nice job, Steve.  :)

The height from the floor to the underside of the rafter is 12', right?  You did read about my shop before you built yours, correct?  ;)

I have a fondness for tulip b&b myself.

Wow!  Very nice shop.  Congrats!  Are you going to put a vehicle lift in the large building or is that more of a wood working shop/barn?  When the Mrs & I build our next home, my shop will have a high ceiling like yours, cause I want a lift.  ;)

Nice looking set up you have there. What is going on behind closed doors?

OK here is what is behind the doors.

The shop is for storing my kiln dried lumber that is for sale and processing some lumber into S4S or mouldings/flooring. I also want to play around with things like a lathe and making rustic furniture.
The planer in the picture is a Woodmaster 718, the rip saw is an older newman, and the 4 sided moulder is a stetson ross. You can see that I put up oak on the sides alll the way around the shop and cotton wood on the ceiling of the old part and OSB on the new. The old part is 24'x32' with 10'side walls and the new addition is 32'x40' with 12' side walls. I insulated the walls with 4" of foam panels and I'm blowing in cellulose into the attic.
One picture shows  the phase convertor and the transformer to boost up the voltage to 480vac for the rip saw. I think I have enough wiring to hold up a battle ship. :)

Oakiemac,

The shop looks great but I do not think that shop would even hold the wire from a battleship.  If you had the wire from a battleship you could scrap it and build a shop over that one you have now. :o

Ooops-I didn't put the picture in the above post with the phase convertor and transformer. Here it is -hopefully.

Well if there is not enough wire for a battleship then there is enough for a small target ship. ;D
