WM sells some ramps to roll log up for us manual mill owners but have any of you constructed something similar?

I now have a tractor but there are times I know I will need to roll up a log.

I have used just a board but they get pretty slippery in rain/snow/ice.

The ones we make and sell for our 18M and 18HD are just made from 1-1/2" or 2" square tubing , and weld a piece of angle iron on the end to sit onto the sawmill rail. Then we wld 1/2" keystock x 1-1/2" or 2" long to the square tubing about every 6 to 8 inches for the length of the ramp.I have also seen 3/4" or 1" angle iron welded in place of the keystock. All it serves is for the log to have traction as you roll it up.

Wow that sounds easy!

Might have to get my welder out this coming long weekend  :P
