Tex I think Adam seems to do a pretty good job at that Allready Mate. There Must Be Less Paperwork in Sawmill Manufature :)  ;) :D :D ;D Chris

Well, first day has passed, we had two of the saws running - one with an inexperienced crew.  They still managed to cut 1,500 BF.  8)

The really good news is it seems that it is clear, lots of heartwood.  ;D This, I was not expecting. Usually, these plantations are not well cared for, so there are knots and defects. Not this time.

Time to change my estimates on profits...  8)

We had cut a few examples before, and all were pretty much clear, but we figured that was a fluke. Now, after 1,500 BF, I am thinking it isn't a fluke.
So, how did I end up here anyway?

CR it seems like Your Boys are of to a Flying Start  8) so I take it that there well above what You where budgeting on? I take it You are skidding the logs out to the mills ? and how many blokes have you got in a sawmill crew 3to4 ? Its good that the timber is comeing out at a better grade recovery as well thats allways a nice supprise .  Im looking forward to seeing some pics Mate  ;) :D ;D

I wish I was still out building the equipment versus selling it. Some days are extremely slow when calls arent steadily coming in. I do manage to sneak out occasionally and wrench on a machine to pass the time.
