Lee Valley/Veritas has some new planes out and a new dovetail saw.  The dovetail saw I would definitely buy.  The block planes ::)  Maybe.

I'm interested to hear opinions.  I like traditional looking tools, but I don't particularly like metal planes.  I'm also schooling myself on using 18th century style tools, but a few modern ones mixed in are fine ;D  I do like the adjuster on the new block planes.  I think it is a much better improvement on the old bailey style wheel adjuster with separate lateral adjuster.  But, I would rather spend more money on a bench plane.

Those block planes look like rocket ships! :D My Lie-Nielsen uses the same adjustment system, and it works great, way better than my Stanley 60 1/2!

 :D :D :D

My L-N 60 1/2 was $160, it, too has an adjustable mouth and A2 iron. Those Veritas look like they belong in a modern art museum.
