Who knows what this is?



Built my own band mill with the help of Forestry Forum. 
Lucas 618 with 50" slabber
WoodmizerLT-40 Super Hydraulic
Deere 5065E mfwd w/553 loader

Is this a guessing game or do you not know?  To me it looks like a cross section of rebar before having concrete poured over it.

What part are we guessing?  Or is it the whole thing we see in the picture, including the background?

  It looks like some type of filter. I can see a wire mesh under the heavier wire, but w/out a scale reference it's tough.

Yup, definitely fish eggs. Probably large mouth bass.  ;)

Dana you were first with the answer.  The photo is not the best.

It is fish eggs on a spawning mat weighted with concrete wire.  So all who said concrete wire were partly correct.  The spawning mat is basically a filter material Ellmoe.

Here is a better picture, it would have been too obvious if I used this first.
