Anyone Else Have The Latest Flu/Cold Bug?

I have been sick at home since Friday. I have coughed more in the last 5 days than I have in the last 5 months. The first couple of days my head was fairly clear, then it settled in there too. Random shooting pains, exhaustion, joint stiffness, and either too cold or hot. All day Saturday I was wearing a sweat suit, a pair of insulated coveralls, and covered up with a blanket and I was still cold. About 9 pm it started going the other way and by 10 pm I was in my shorts sweating.

Yesterday was the worst. I don't know how many times I would have a bad coughing spell and almost pass out. I never did, but watching the world get fuzzy and not being able to move for a few seconds is real weird. My daughter had all the same symptoms including almost passing out several times. She's the one that gave it to me. Real generous isn't she? I'm bored out of my skull just sitting here doing nothing, so I thought I would whine a little.

P.S. One totally unexpected positive result from this. I have had back problems most of my life. I have been to the chiropracter so many times early in life that I learned how to fix myself (most of the time) when my back goes out. I have been having lower back pain for several months, and this time I haven't been able to fix it. Since I got sick, my joints all over have been randomly popping very loudly. Two days ago, my extreme lower back popped and now.....

This has been a really tough Month for me.  I got the flu as bad as I ever had it earlier in the month. To make things Horrible, by mother died that week as well. I got feeling better the week after, but not right. I've been dealing with another medical issue at the same time, so it didnt make it easy. Then Tammy got sick last week. She was really sick for two days. We've been married going on 29 years and it was the first time ever I had to call in sick for her. EVER.

The day after she got feeling better, I woke up sick again with no warning, sicker then I was the first go around. Sunday evening I felt a bit better so I ate. Mistake, it started all over and yesterday I could hardly pick my head up. By evening I came back around a bit, and had some water and broth and it actually stayed down. Today, I'm feeling a lot better then yesterday, so probably about 40% of normal.  I guess I start getting flu shots if that will decrease my chances of ever having to go through another month like this.

I've been through that same cold/cough/flu crap.
I went to the dr a couple weeks ago and I went through a 10 day antibiotic of Amoxicilyn (sp), then 2 days later I started right in again!
I will be done with my new antibiotic tomorrow morning.
It was bad, I'd cough so much, it felt like my temples and ears would bust, or I would almost throw-up.
My poor wife has it now, in fact, she just got back from the dr.
Hope everyone don't get it, it's bad.

The last yrear I went without out a flu shot I ended up in the ER. Thought I was having a heart attack. The Doctor assured me that I only felt like I was about to die that I really was not going to. Ever since flu shots , never had it again. Well worth it.

I was home seven days about two weeks ago, fever, sore joints. I never got so sick so fast in my life, started felling sick around 9:30 am, my cell phone rang about 12:30 and woke me up, I had been asleep in the car along side of the road for about an hour! got home and slept for two days then went to the doc.He thought I had pneumonia but the blood test came back neg. for that, i don't know what it was but it KICKED my butt.

My step son and wife had it.The 4 kids never got sick.They told us to stay away.Happened about a month ago,I think.They went to the Doctor,good thing too.It's had to beat on your own.

We have had it here, too.  Chris ended up with pneumonia three weeks ago.  She isn't quite over it yet.  I had one day when everything I looked at wanted to orbit around me.  Little of that goes a long way.

Well , I guess I don't have it as bad as some . I got a cold ,first one all winter , it kicked me bad . every time I coughed it felt like a damdold ape was squeezen my ribs. That was the first of march I still have a little of it but I can function almost normal now .  I don't need the flu youall just keep that.

Me and the wife have had this cold/flu thing for over two weeks now. The worst part of it is the ticklish/raspy throat cough. Its hard to get any sleep when you have constant coughing jags. We both seemed to be feeling better for a few days and then the coughing starts again.   enough is enough allready!

I've been home the last few days getting over this chest-cough cold stuff. My son got it at kindergarten, my wife from him, and me from her. I usually get one bad one a year. Looking forward to getting back to the woods.
