ffcool Well got notice that LT 50 is scheduled to go into production on 3 Apr 24 and ready for pick up around last week of April . Ordered first week of Jan 2023.

Great news!  I'm sure you will like it!

I've finally gotten comfortable with mine and can saw smoothly now.  It's a ton more fun than the LT35 and it was a blast to operate.

The biggest thing I've done to make mine super efficient is the hydraulics anywhere welding cable mod.

TED, What is the Mod, I may want to do it. Where can I find the how to do info. Thanks

The modification allows the hydraulics to operate anywhere the head travels not just on the copper strip.  The mod eliminates the copper strip.  Some add a redundant ground as well.

It uses welding cable to run from the hydraulics box pump solenoids to the solenoid in the electrical/fuse box on the head where the battery connects.

The advantage is being able to finish cutting, with the head at the far end of the mill, and unclamp a log or cant.  Then turn the log or cant with the head at the far end of the mill.   It also allows for unclamping a stack of boards for the board return to return all boards.

Here is the thread where I asked for some who knew where to find the original Bibbyman modification.  There were several who gave great advice on how to do the mod.

For full disclosure, hydraulics anywhere can be done using a second battery.  It's technically simpler but presents some challenges for mobile sawing.

The hydraulics anywhere can work for other configurations depending on the method used but is most useful for the command control mills.
