I am thinking off buying a log arch for moving logs and I am looking at the logrite fetching arch and the nichols log  arch .I would like some help from forum members on what arch they thing would be best and if there are other makes also .thanks

The LogRite is a great supporter of the forum. I'd have to have some pretty good evidence otherwise to not highly recommend their product. They are a top-notch company. They are well-built, and come with good support.

Good luck with your decision. Some searching here will confirm which to buy.

Can't and won't recommend anything other then the LogRite arch from me, but which one?  Tell us about what kind of wood you will be skidding and the terrain type. That goes a long way towards the type of arch you want to consider.

I bought the Mark 7 Log  Arch from Logrite about 2 years ago.  I don't have a lot of really big trees and this one has worked like a champ for me.  I can't imagine getting by without a log arch.  Dealing with Logrite was most pleasant and I would recommend them highly.

Hope this helps

Both are good arches.  I had a Nichols and sold it to buy the Logrite.    The Nichols is a beast and works well if you have flat ground or use a tractor to pull it.   An ATV does not have enough mass to pull really large logs uphill when they are dragging, which is how the Nichols arch works.  The Logrite lifts the log completly off the ground.  I bought the Logrite ATV arch because I needed it right away and didn't want to wait for a fetching arch.    The fetching arch with all the options is a more versitle piece of equipment that the ATV arch.  But both are good.

Also, as stated above, Logrite is a forum sponsor and if you read any of the postings about their tool quality (just search on Logrite) you 'll make the right decision.  :)

I'm looking at buying a ATV size arch from EZBoardwalk. They had one at the recent show and the price was more into my range.

If the show in Morgantown is the one you are referring to, the one they had is an unauthorized copy (illegal) of the Logrite.   And, they're supposed to be a Logrite dealer.   I'd question their integrity.

As been said many time before, look to the left side of this page and see who the forum sponsors are.   I've dealt with a lot of them and there is no doubt of their ethics or integrity.

I fail to see how they have copied Logrite. The tongue bracing looks similar but how many ways can you brace a tongue.

I saw it at Sawlex. It sure looked like a ripoff to me. I could see that 50 yards before I got to it. All it is is a wanna-be.

Yer darned tootin considering the circumstances.
