I want to say thanks to all the Forestry Forum members. I have been restoring a Foley Belsaw m-14 over the past few months. The information I have gained from from the site has been a great help. I have set the mill up on two 37 foot steel beams and is powered by a inline six Toyota Landcruiser engine. I tried to send pics but I believe the file sizes were too large.
Thanks again.
Tripp.

Seems like those Foley-Belsaws are getting more popular.

Don't give up on the picture thing, it aint as hard as it seems at first.  :P

I am using a universal Audiovox cruise control to govern the engine. I can lock it in at the rpm needed, depending on what gear combo I am using, and it will keep the saw speed very constant. It uses vacuum to apply throttle under load. Tripp

Good conformation Tripp, always heard a cruse control would do the trick never tried it myself.Frank C.

How many bfg do you get?  Board Feet per Gallon.   May not be such a term.  I just know them old LC six's are kinda thirsty.    Bet it doesn't bog down much, they have alot of torque.

Built my own band mill with the help of Forestry Forum.

I can usually run about half a day on 5 gallons. Right now I am running a holley 2 barrel carb that is pretty worn out. I hope to replace it soon with a rebuilt Asin or a weber. Should help fuel consumption and performance.
