CBI Grinders-two steps away from pellets

Google CBI grinders and check out there latest grinder. Click on pellets and this should bring you to some youtube videos which show raw wood turned into "Micochips" instead of the usual grindings. These microchips can then be dried, put thru a pellet mill, bagged, and delivered. Tree to thee could take less than a week.  In the past, saw dust was used. With production of lumber cut in half since the big slowdown, there isn't much to be had. I heard the grinder sells for about $800,000 grand. That's chump change compared to the cost of overseas oil.

I toured a pellet mill a few weeks ago.  They used "paper mill" grade chips....96% pure.  The pellet fired heaters/furnaces were really efficient and with the high grade pellets, produced virtually no ash.
