Gentlemen,

Hi. In an earlier posting I mentioned having the highest bid (weak moment/impulse) for a bandmill the auction catolog described as "Woodman Sawmill"...  not in the greatest condition.  After it was finally delivered I determined it was really a Woodland K8 bandmill...  darn it anyway the engine had water in the cylinders and one rod is apparently bent.   Has anyone ever heard of this mill and maybe have some info/possible help for me?    Manual, photos, what size hydraulic pump needed, etc...

Is this the sawmill that is set up vertically with the blocks stationary and the saw moving? if so I really like the design of it some are also tilt beds I think which are the optimal machines imo I sawed on a tilt for years and I loved it these are built along the same lines

Yes, Chico, it is a vertical mill identical to the one at the site Hilltop referenced...  And when I say identical I mean identical.

Hilltop,  Thank you for giving that site but...  When I was doing a search I came across the same site.  Gosh, I said to myself, that mill has the guard missing from the blade also.  It took me a while to finally see that the mill pictured is the very one I bid on at the auction.  Heck of a deal.

Im another one thats allways liked the look of  Woodland Pro's K8 Slant mills i see them on sawmill exchange every now and then Like Chico ive only sawn on one 12" Slant headrig with a chipping slabber and loved it too   ;)  ;D 8)  I reckon they (the WP K8)would be more suited to sawing smaler logs under the 24" dia but they would be quicker than most bandmills on that sort of stuff   ;) ;D With the motor thats only a little problem  :D just fit a new one or rebuild one of a make you like  ;) Good luck with getting it running and keep us posted Mate ;D 8)

I just hope I'm still young enough to use the mill when it's finally able to run.  :-)
I'm almost sure that this mill was never run as a slant mill...  it's vertical now for sure and all the controls are parallel to the ground.
