I just got a 5100 and would like to know how/what to trim the limiter caps on the carb.
Does anyone have a pic of what needs to be trimmed?
I want to be able to richen it up because of the poor gas around here.

I don't know on the 5100 but that's the best thing you can do.  Steve

I dont have any pics, but I can explain how to do the job.

When you look into the side of the carb where the adjustments are to be made you will see two red caps.  These caps prevent the jets from being turned more than 1/8 of a turn.  While looking at the caps insert a drywall screw into the center of the cap, and turn the screw with a phillips screwdriver and the cap will pull off the jet as the screw is threaded in.  In essence the screw acts as a puller.

After you have removed the caps, take a razor blade and cut the tabs off the sides of the limiter caps.  The idea is to reinsert the caps, after you have removed the tabs, this will prevent the jets from vibrating out of adjustment.

Once finished you can adjust the carb to increase the fuel flow to the cylinder.  Depending on where the saw was set, it may take up to a full turn counter clockwise to add sufficient fuel.

Sharkey Thanks!

I guess that these are the tabs that need to be cut.
