You guy's don't miss a thing ;D ;D ;D

After I took those pictures I 'splained to her about the strings and how they should be inside the shirt.

She agreed  ;)  ;)

I don't think the hair is a problem cuz she doesn't get that close with the lathe running.

Her hair can't be any shorter, it was a compromise when she got it cut. She wanted to go waaay shorter.

I like it a little longer  ;D  ;D
Why not just 1 pain free day?

Ah compromises.  My wife wanted a black car and I wanted red, so we compromised and got a    black one. ::)

Right on Stumpy.  :)  I've been comprimised before too.

Regards the hood strings, I noted that reminder and pulled the string out of my hooded sweatshirt last night. Figure I never use it, and for sure get around things that turn.

Nice thing about that bowl is that she won't be upset if it gets a crack in it!   :)

Great Job!

Stumpy- reminds me of the recipe I heard a while back for a happy marriage: compromise- what ever she wants, you compromise...  :D :D  works fine till something real important comes along and then I follow the rule that it's better to ask forgiveness than permission- might take a while to be forgiven but it's usually better than never getting permission.   ;D

Here's the last installment of pictures of this bowl.....

Here she has turned the bowl around and replaced the jaw chuck with a vacuum chuck

Turning the tennon off for the jaw chuck and finishing the bowl's bottom.
I like this shot cuz ya can kinda see through the bowl  ;D  ;D

Tennon cut off and finishing the bottom with a skew....Of which she has mastered in 2 days  ::)

And that's all there is too it  :D  :D

She's pretty proud of this one and me too cuz she gave it to me!!

It'll be another fine piece to add to my collection  8)  8)  8)

Mastered the skew in two days. :o  I would try mine again if I can find it. The last time I tried to use the skew I threw it out the window of the shop.

Nice bowl there. I was just gonna say, that I use the skew on every piece I turn, eventually. I don't know why some folks have trouble with it. Maybe it's the wood or the grain or as grandfather would say, "the way you hold your mouth". ;)
