I had a chain that was doing that or so I thought. It ended up that I didnt have the nut on as tight as I thought due to a small bit of hard black gunk (kind of looked like dried glue) in the bolt threading. After cleaning that out I was able to actually tighten it down all the way and the bar no longer moves arround on me.
Echo CS-400 started it all
