if you want to saw that pitchy cant, just turn the water off and spray some can lube on the band while it is sawing. wd 40 , bar oil and kerosene mixed 50%.  id bet a dollar to a doughnut it will cut fine with the oil as lube.

Does your band track the same when turned backwards by hand, if not ot should. Also check for the band hitting something dulling it up.    Steve

I have seen the wheel belts stick in the grove. Are your wheel belts ( B-57) loose the entire way around the wheel? The wheels are painted from the factory and it takes some time to wear the paint off. If the belt stickes it will roll up and push the band off. Spray the wheel belt with WD40. I have only seen this on new mills.
Hope this helps

It sounds to me like the blade needs more tenisionand that the blade rollers and out of alinment. The one other thing being a new mill and you noy being used to it yet maybe you need to increase the feed speed(sawing slow the dust will spill over the gullet and drive the blade up or down.If you have a lt28 its hard to judge the proper tenision with out a blade tenision gauge but one hint you should need both hands on the lever to lock the blade. I would think if the tenision was to tight and the blade dove a great deal you would break a blade. I hope this helps. And if not the guys at WM will get you up and running.

I hate to say it, but I think it was the sap build up on the blade. It just didn't seem like enough to do what is was doing, but the blade sap combined with the belt sap and the heat it created, I guess just all combined for a disaster. I threw the cant off and tried another log after I went to the store and got some Dawn and some Pine Sol. I  guess the solution, is in the "solution". The mixture in your water to keep the build up off your blades. So far so good. I've got another 57 1x6x16s to cut for a guy today, so he can pick up tomorrow. Hopefully the mill will keep cutting, like it has been. It cut the new log, just fine yesterday.

Thanks for everyones insight and help.

Sam, I think you are partially right. The guy at Woodmizer suggested that after so many hours and it being a new mill, that adjusting the tension would be a good idea. So,I did adjust the tension a little more yesterday, also.

Good to hear that you're back in business Gator Gar!

Hope you didn't lose too much time with your blade/pitch/tension problem.

I'll tell ya, those tech's are good.

What a difference a day makes. My saw ran and sawed like a dream today. Couldn't have asked for a better day. I have sold 550 dollars worth of lumber in the last two days. Alot of it came out of the logs that was set aside for my horse barn. I've not only learned a thing or two about my machine, but also a thing or two about pricing lumber. I under charged a good bit. Live and learn though. I'll just keep at it.
