gona try posting some pictures from a redoak I dropped in a guys back yard we had just enough room but makes for some tense moments it was just over 48 in. on the stump and over 55ft. of log

it came down right nice, lost about a 10 foot blocking log in the top, I cut this tree for my bro.  on his job, he called me today, told me he got the logs scaled,  it scaled 1845 ft. it was about as nice n strait n clean as they come about 3 in. of the heart was punky  8)

over the course of my career i"v probably cut 25-30 of these but most of the big ones will have 12, 14oo ft.  most timber in these parts is cut at 20 in. dbh
