I understand now.  Yes, those sort of things are available  for the software we use here as well. They say the "mods" are written and available to be used to help an administrator "handle" problem members. I can see how they could be used to simply aggravate someone as well if one was so inclined.  The only thing we have here is if you are banned, you are diverted to a different website when you try to visit here. Disney Land to be exact at the moment. Maybe some days its Jerry Falwell. ;)

  I personally choose a different method here to interact with my fellow members. The same I've always used.

Get along, be decent with each other, respect the fact that the owner, which is me, has some personal standards and rules that he tries to maintain within a certain distance of center.  If those things are deviated from, I usually say something, and for the most part, everyone says, Okay, we understand.  If not, and it continues, I say goodbye.   its not all that complicated. I can't see wasting my time messing around any other way, because frankly, conflict is a waste of time and I only have so much time on this planet, and wasting my time in that fashion is one thing that can make me show my temper.

This cloak and Dagger stuff you guys are talking about intrigues me. How about someone sending me a personal note and let me know where this is going on? I've got a pretty good handle on how a lot of this stuff works, and I'd like to see if by looking at it, if I could help explain it.

Well first of all Jeff nobody said there was any hanky panky on this site .There has been only one forum that most of us know about that has caused these problems and C for fun just showed a cut and paste as to what that was and who did it .

Now if you want I can send you a link in a PM which will take you right to it if you really want to know . Out of respect of your site I won't make it a link in an open web forum or at least not this one .

This well known fact has circulated around a couple of forums and I'm surprised that only a few don't know about it ..Fact if this business of Niko comming missing had not have popped up I wouldn't have even mention it .However he asked and myself and CF Fun replied with exactly what caused his problem .

I know that.    I just think that for those that don't understand about cookies that read this, they need to know that all cookies are not evil. We have to use them here or else every time you needed to perform an action like posting, or seeing if you had messages, you would have to login.  If you look through your cookies you will find them from the Forestry Forum.

Yes sir ,basically the same thing but different name  but then again different web server .

Now that might explain one thing but it doesn't have anything to do with banning a person over something that might have been said on a web forum other than what a person might own .I won't elaborate on that one only to say when I got the axe on a certain site they also got 26 in one fell swoop who supported me .Not a one mind you made a post on that site ,just stuff gleened from another site .

Enough of this though .We all know the score and those that want to participate ,do so .The rest of use have sought greener pastures .Their lose not ours . 8)

The Forestry Forum uses cookies to identify you as you to the Forestry Forum when you are logged in. Thats the only way it knows how to keep you logged on when go from one page to the next and to return your personal information back to you like what threads you have read, and whats new that you have not read.

I guess my issues come from people outside the Admin and Mods clan, but I am of course not sure!
