I have not been feeling so good, so inside watching nextflix with the wife. Power went out. Bang. Done. Gone. Kinda odd. Most times it flickers. Told the wife someone hit a pole. Then I thought about that dead red oak tree along side the driveway. Yep. Right across the driveway and the lines. Called up the power company, they were here in just about a ½ hour and had us up and going in an hour. So only out for just about an hour and a half. But we were the only one in the area with no power.  ;)
They sent 2 trucks and 2 guys to get us up and running.
This happened around 12:30 this afternoon. 30° and not snowing or raining. I went and talked to one of them and thanked them for coming.
He did say that one tree made a big mess. Knocked the wires off both poles.

Hope you are feeling better. You should have some some nice firewood for next year year now that you won't have to haul very far.  Power companies around my area treat us very well also.

It's nice that they got you back up so quick.  A few years ago I was at work and my wife called to tell me that the power was out at home, but the neighbors had power.  I told her to go look at the pole with transformer and see if the the switch had been thrown.  About 10 minutes later she sent me a picture of a burned squirrel laying on the ground at the base of the pole.  Power troubleshooter was there in about 30 minutes and reset the switch.

Hey thecfarm, how you feeling? Back up and at it yet?
Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.

Feeling better wise? I guess so.
My COPD acted up. Or I should say, has been acted up for about a month. That was my dumb move. I had the same thing happen about 4 years ago. I tried to push through it then too.  ::)
I need to do better when a flare up happens. All they do is wind the oxygen to me and prednisone pills. I was wheeled into the e room and I walked out!!!  ;)
I felt it coming on this time too. Things was bothering me, using my inhaler more and really not be able to breath.
What pushed me over the edge I got a cold, and a bad cough. Hard to keep air in when I had a coughing spell.
I still don't feel like doing much, still have the cough, but I can breath!!!!!!
I just need to get on top of it when it happens.
The wife and the Dr was not happy about what I did.

Ray, you said 'not feeling well' then let on 2 days later it's a COPD episode. Yeah, you gotta recognize what it is when it's happening and do something.
I'm not being critical, I'm just worried that you take care of yourself. I am early COPD and know it. My Mom had it and I will too soon enough. I have attended dozens of patients over my time having bad 'bouts' with it and know the absolute fear in a person's eyes when they just can't get the air in. I more than empathize, I know my turn is coming too.
I am curious about exactly what you "did' that your wife and Doc are not happy about. I guess I should see a Doc sometime soon, I haven't been in about 8 years now, but things are adding up. I just hate the crazy bills that come with it and they think "it's covered", well guess what, "It's NOT".
Take care of yourself man. If I can be rude for a minute I will add "Don't be stupid". ;D

Wife and Dr are not happy with me because I ignored the symptoms and tried to push through it.  ::)
I was in the e room on Monday. I should of just went to the Dr about a month ago. I felt it coming on, but thought it was a bad cycle and I would get over it.
As the Dr told me, catch it when it starts and they can get the oxygen and meds to me and I don't have to feel like I am dying!!!!
Everything was fine until about a month ago. Things change quick!!!
I was in the e room Monday and then the next Sunday is when the tree came down.
I've had this COPD for about 15 years now.
I do need to be better at what I have and don't be stupid.   ;D
