I have picked up a job sawing soft and hardwoods. Mostly boards and posts. The customer has asked me to saw a pile of logs in half. Does anyone have any suggestions how to charge to just saw a log in half? Thanks,

Ryan

It all depends upon how large the job is for me.  If it's over a couple of MBF, and cost me  ½ hour, I just suck it up.  On small piddling jobs that wear you out anyway, then yes, hourly rate, with a minimum of say $20-$30.
