I know there's at least one other member who own's one on here.....
I bought mine with the first 1000 hrs of service by the dealer and now, its my turn to service the machine....
I'm baffled
There is an oil fill cap above the oil filter on the right rear side of the engine near the fuel filter ????? what goes in here and where is it measured.         my manual doesn't show it any where...... the dip stick and main oil fill are on the opposite side of the engine....

I just went out and looked at mine.
I have an M7040 and it does not have that on it.
The manual has nothing either......sorry  :-\
Why not just 1 pain free day?

I would guess your transmission/hyd. oil but check with your dealer.
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

I have a m6800 cab also. I don't have mine here to look at but, if I remember right that is an alternative engine oil fill. These motors are placed in many different applications.

The trans/hyd fill is on top of the three point behind the cab.
