Not really PC. Anymore I do better with the colder weather than the hot. Do need to go and cut more firewood just in case we get some really bad weather. Just kinda caught up on some projects now untill after Christmas. How about you? bg

i had a pastor meeting to go to today at grove and after that i was set to come home and mill some more but i stopped by dave's house to look at a forklift. i used to haul hay for dave. his ranch is the other side of miami which must be 25 miles from home. every time i hauled for him he wanted a price per bale up front and i would have to take his word on how far it was since he never bought hay from the same guy twice. i always had to take a loader and sometimes 2 since dave didnt have one.i always shot myself in the foot when i hauled daves hay and he helped by it always being 10 miles farther than he told me. he never paid when i got done and i would have to drive all the way back to his house a few days later to pick up a check. when gasoline got over $1 a gallon i had enough and i told him i couldnt haul his hay anymore. he was heart broke and told me he would pay me double but i had enough.
a mutual friend told me a few months ago that dave had 2 forklifts for sale. so i hadnt been to daves house for 12 years but today i bought a forklift from him. its a yale 3500lb gasoliine with pneumatic tires . chrysler slant 6. its old  but it has power steering and is short. under 6'. should work well in the sawmill building. he is going to get his son to come by and get her running and the agreement is when he does i will buy it from him for $1500. dave is a brick layer and used it to unload bricks at his jobsites.

it pays to make friends even with people who you may choose not to do business with.
