Hello,

Has anyone used these aftermarket mufflers?

I just picked up an 041AV that is very clean but the muffler is missing.

If they are Ok, I'll go for one. If they are trouble, I'll keep looking.

Thanks in advance, Don

Rotary parts run the gambit from not so great to pretty darn good, all I have seen have been serviceable.  I bet the muffler will be OK.

OEM parts are usually your best bet for trouble free repair,if you want to save money and deal with little problems as in does not fit right, poor quality and materials ect. go for the cheaper aftermarket part, they work, but you take your chances. Tim

HI Macpower & Tim,

Thank you both for your replies.

It was not a cost factor, I did look for a New original but the local dealer said they were long obsolete.
I have been looking online for one and as luck would have it, a used original came up for auction last evening and I  did the "Buy it now" option.
I'm a happy camper.
Regards, Don
