We got our start with  a used LT 30 (it had 14 hours on it and we were the third owner). Its a manual mill that had what I think was called the turner package. Cable and winch to run the turner and load logs. It was a 1989 model. We used it every weekend for several years. One year full time. When we upgraded to a HLT40 with all the whistles and bells, I sold it to a retired guy. I doubt he cut more than a few logs on it. He died 7 years ago. Hasn't run since, but always shedded. Knowing the guy, I imagine he took good care of it. The family approached me yesterday wanting to know how to price the thing. I called Woodmizer and they suggested around 5-6000 dollars for it. Does that sound about right?

There is currently one up on eBay with a BIN/BO price of $7K.  Certainly doesn't look to be in pristine shape...

Thanks. I think I will tell them between 6-7000.I thought the woodmizer price was slightly low. Not sure how he is going to sell it. He is the executor of the estate, and has no computer. All I know, is that I don't want to get in the middle of selling it.

On the other hand, might go take a few pics of it. Even if its just to remember the old days.
