Has anyone experienced moisture inside the door where the controler is located? After heavy rains over the weekend I noticed my temp at 200 and the fan still running, a few hours later nothing on the display and no fan.

Haven't heard of that before in my experience or on the FF.
My father once said, "This is my son who wanted to grow up and become a doctor.  So far, he's only become a doctor."

Welcome to the forum Dyerbrk,

I have only had mine open 2-3 times and I never found moister.  On my E-Classic 1400 the main cover is a tight metal to metal fit and located directly under the overhang.  The electronics set inside another sealed metal box inside of this main houseing.  Please see photo below.

Corrected and added photo on 3/13/11.  The electronics were sealed up much better than I remembered.

What vintage controler do you have?  It sounds like you need a new one.  I replaced mine  it was easy and was not a lot of money but I have the old style.  Mine did die during a wet period in the spring but I do not remember if there was moisture or not

Thanks for the welcome! Mine is the old style, earlier in December during a wet spell it was on the fritz with erratic readings, but straightened out. I should have bought a new one then. When i install the new controller I think I will run a bead of silcone around the door to add some extra protection.

Well, new controller wired in, but now popping fuses. Wiired correctly according to the schematic, unpluged all solenoids still blowing fuses.

Who is your dealer?  Contact your dealer and press for assistance.

It is an out of state call to mine but he has been able to talk me through all my repairs.  I chose him both because of price and service.  I met with my local dealer and he seemed to just be interested in my money not my business.  I stunk to have to pay a "use" tax on my boiler but I have been better off with him.

Sorry I have been late responding! Turns out that my original controller and schematic called for the power supply in slots 6 and 7 while the new controller needed to have the power supply in slots 4 and 5, I had it wired wrong explaining the blown fuses. After the new control was installed moisture was present again, but after two new controls I'm up and running now with no problems. I have some photos of my controllers but I can't seem to get them attached but I think they are in my album. In the photos of the board you can see where the water laid and shorted it out.
