I have no idea how to tell the posting date of a thread.  Other forums have a month day year; this one seems to state today, yesterday or "on:xx" where xx is a number but does not fit a date or month or year. How does one tell what the date of or age of a posting is?  Probably some easy way to determine but I have not found it yet.

The time is on every post. Today means that....etc. Counting on you knowing what day today is, I think. Older posts show the date along with the time.
I think it is there, but you are just not seeing it.

Post some and tell us about what you are up to. We'd be interested to know.

I have to agree with beenthere and I would add that if you go into your profile settings you can make the date and time appear in any format you like... I believe there are about 6 choices

TrovennForestry, are you asking about the date and time when the thread was first originated or when the last post was made to the thread?

Never would have guessed that the default date display in the forum defaulted to what it was.  After I looked at the "Look and Layout" in my profile I saw it was on default "%H" which resulted in what you see in the attached file.

I think all I was getting was the hour it was posted no date, month or year.
Much better now with "%d %B %Y, %H:%M:%S" as the date code.  Knew it had to be simple.
Just thought it would default to something normal, but not in my case.
Thanks

Interesting, your computer sees things much differently than mine does.  Maybe this is somthing Jeff should look into because my default didn't look like that and my other choices are not shown in code like that

It's certainly not something I should look into. I can't control the infinite number of system configurations that people have, or the results of fiddling with a profile.  Also, please don't use the document uploader to show photos, use the gallery.

I'm sure this post sounds like I'm being nasty. I'm not. I'm just busy and doze isda facts. ;) :)

Maybe I am one of the lucky ones. I have not had a glitch since Jeff started the changes, after adjusting myself to the new look. No bookmark trouble or anything. I am running XP and Chrome. Everything shows up perfect.

Sorry
I thought PDF files were OK as my attachment to show what I had on the display.

Jeff

We use jpg's for photos because they are a very small % of the size of a PDF.  We have to make sure we have server room for years to come. :)

Any luck with your issues Troven?

I couldn't sleep so I tried to figure out your issue with the links under your FF logo not showing up and I discovered if I went into my profile and checked the box beside "no avatar" I would lose those links.

Pick an avatar from the gallery if you like and see if you get those links.

Thank you for your troubleshooting.  That worked perfectly and now I have the links that you reference. Just hope I did the upload correctly.

Sounds good, it is a bit of an odd fix but it works.
