For the past 30 years or so, I have participated in doing aerobics. Back in the day.....young women with very little clothes on, would bounce around the gym, doing dance steps and exercises to music. Although tat part hasn't changed much,  ::) , it has expanded into a more serious (??) era of cardio workouts, weight training, and kick boxing. At 56 I am not quite as "enthusiastic" in my moves, although I can keep up pretty well. I find it best to keep many different DVD's on hand so I can switch them out daily, as to not get bored with the routine.

The reason I bring this up, is that I wonder if anyone else out there does a daily workout regimen, and if so, what does it consist of? Does Doc know if the aerobic exercises do any good? Should folks our age do something else to keep in good condition? And last but not least, does anyone know of any workout videos that are aimed towards older folks like us?

Any input would be appreciated.  :)

Richard Simmons is aimed at old folks like us, but I just can't handle it.   :D

I have a little ipod that is filled with my favorite music, and I clip it on and walk on the treadmill for 30 to 40 minutes.

Richard Simmons just creeps me out...YUCK!

I tried the tread mill, and I do enjoy it very much, just groovin' to the tunes and walking/jogging along, but my back just kills me when I do the tread mill. Maybe mine was too cheap, or at too much of an incline, I don't know.
