Jeff

I should take a picture of my raised gardens. The most bountiful growth in them I ever had. I never planted them because of my shoulder injury and just let them go. One of the most lush collections of various weeds I have ever seen. :)
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

That's exactly how you could describe ours also.
I may need a Bobcat. :D

I was just down picking beans, lettuce and hot peppers for supper. I forgot to grab a fresh onion for the salad. Oh well, always tomorrow. ;D

Jeff, you could always eat the lambs quarters out there, like beat greens steamed. Strip the leaves off the stalks for steaming, toss the stalks. ;D

I never used Face book either.Have to keep up with the times. I'm kinda using it as a notebook too. I posted I planted lettuce the other day. I can look back and see when I planted them. I did the same thing with the string beans. Have a 2 rows now that need to be pulled and  I will plant some more. I had two guys that mentioned this forum. One is a member,I forgot his name, sorry, and one guy just reads and is not a member.
swampdockey, first time my Father heard of someone calling pigweeds, lambquarters and eating them, can't say what he said on here.  ;D Than someone wanted to cut and eat the milkweed. He just knew they was crazy. Don't matter to me none, long as I don't have to eat them. Like a guy at work would say,Too green for me.

Tell your dad, I'm with him on the naming of the weed. But we also have a pigweed as well and a type of nettle (hemp nettle I think). All look similar when they are young plants.

Tell'm my uncle bought some lambs quarters at the farm market, and the goof has it growing wild in his own garden. My uncle.  ::)

Milkweed is poison, so welcome to it. :D
