We recently checked out the Zip Line in Grand Falls, Canada eh.
The Falls were running like spring time because of all the rain they have been receiving.
The St. John River is what feeds the falls.  There is also a lower section of wells and rocks that are not shown in this video that are very pretty.  The owners and his crew demonstrated for us the zip line in hopes of persuading a few of us to join them.  We were headed to dinner and it was getting a little late so maybe next time. :D
The zip line has you crossing twice.  Once over then back.  The price was only 40 dollars.  This is some what of a new venture.  I hope they are successful.

The line is rated to hold 280 fat farm boys. :D

the bridge in the back ground looks like the safer route to cross ;D

That river sure is running fast. I would have found something more pressing to do too.

For some reason, I'm not impressed with what seems to be a nonsense ride over water and back. What is there to see while crossing that cannot be seen from either shore?
Seems the great view of the falls is messed up enough with the other buildings let alone the two structures and heavy cables stretched across for the "ride". But guess it is for a commercialization of the falls but don't see paying $40 for something akin to a very short, brief ski lift ride.
If it would zip you out half way and let you hang there and contemplate the roaring water falling and spray rising for a few long moments, there would be more experience to it.
Sorry, I must be a grouch today. ;)

Well I think it looks like a blast!  Put a couple of beers in me, and I would ride that line all afternoon! WhhooooHooo!!

It would take more than a couple of beers to get me on that thing.
Just cause your head's pointed, don't mean you are sharp.

I do believe that would take a couple of jugs of the hard stuff. I really like my feet planted on the ground.

Apart from being absolutely scared to death of heights, and the fact that I can't swim any better than a cat in a gunny sack, I have to admit that looks like a lot of fun.  Feed me a few of them brews and Patty I'd be right there behind you, or maybe under you 50 or so feet  ;D.

I've seen their brochure at the garage and I seen where their staging is set up along the Tobique Road. I think they have some other little adventures there as well, like going in a rubber raft in the rapids there.

Your right though, the river is high, it's been a very wet summer here and most of the time the river has been brown with mud.

That old gorge has claimed a few lives over the years.
