I've inquired on electric sharpeners before & I've seen a lot of traffic on the forum in regards to them.  However, I haven't really found the answer to this question:

What is the best way to set the angle on an electric sharpener?  Currently I eyeball it against a new chain.  I cut in a lot of wood in hedge rows that is embeded with dirt so I need to do a lot of chain sharpening.

That's what I do.  The reference plates are not always spot on.  Somewhere around 60* and 30* is what I grind all chains (ALL).
