aatv winch slipping

I have a super winch x2000 on my Argo and I notice it slip a little after I tensioned the line.
Does anyone know what the cause would be?

My Warn 2500lb winch on my quad started slipping.. I replaced it, but the guy I gave my old one too said it just needed brake work

I would do some disassembling Kevin.
