I finally finished my pineywoods turner. Here is a few pictures I took of some of the things I made

  

  

  . Thanks again pineywoods. The new motor has a broken blower housing but they are sending me new parts to fix it.

only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

BTW your work looks real good and I bet you will enjoy the hydraulic clamping and turning. I did.

I like the cylinder that allows you to adjust the claw angle to match the log size.  I havta use a rope.

Great job on that turner! Piney, if this keeps up, your turner might end up as a factory option on a new WM someday!

Hi,there seems to be a few of these turners on this forum,was wondering are you guys able to turn logs,without them climbing the back stops???

would love to see a vid. of this turner working,thanks albert

This is day one of the turner being operational, so we were still jerky with the levers. I have sense gotten much smoother and more efficent with it... I don't know how I managed without it now.

York, due to it's dual-purpose nature, there is a learning curve, easily learned. This is NOT a device where you just pull a lever and the log rolls over. You can in fact roll a log up the backstops, even roll a log over the top of the backstops. You can also scoot a log or cant back completely away from the backstops. Or throw a log off the loader side of the mill. Likewise, push a log up against the backstops. With a little practice, it is capable of doing most of the features of the woodmizer factory claw turner/ 2 plane clamp. See video in the previous post

Theirs also a learning curve with a two plane clamp, turning logs and cants you have two handles to coordinate.Its soon learned and boath turners keep you safely away from the logs. Frank C.
