Been thinking about it and talking about it for a while now.  But I have the official paper work now and Weston Wood Works is no more.   I'm not selling anything or quitting sawing for family, good friends and myself...just not charging for it.  My family can just split it all up when
I pass...maybe before.   I have to give a big shout of thanks to so many on this forum that have given me so much great advice over the years.   A really great bunch of people.  THANKS!

Congratulations on retirement! You can say good-by to your official job just don't say good-by to us.

Good luck and enjoy the retirement. If that is you listed as West Fork Woodworks in the FF database under portable and stationary bandsawing in Weston WV you probably should send Jeff a PM to remove your name from the lists. If you're ever down in Hinton stop by and come see us.

My son graduated from Glenville up there near/at Weston.

I am looking forward to it too!!!! Retirement is what I mean. Yes,I will be "working" around here, but if I want to sit on a stump and watch the world go by,it will only cost me an hour,no money.
Have fun!!!

Yes I miss typed.  It is West Fork Wood Works.  We are located right on the Westfork River.

Enjoy the shift from doing what you had to do to doing more of what you want to do which is how I define retirement. Stay safe and hope you get to spend more time with family and friends.

I did the same thing, but a bit earlier in life.

After a quarter century sawing lumber for everyone else to enjoy, I simply stopped selling.  Kept everything and now just putter with the mill.  Funny thing is that I keep expanding it and improving it, so heads up - you can't get the dust out of your blood.

All the best!
