I just had to share with y'all that I participated in my very first tractor pull on Saturday!   :)   It was the Cecil County Fair in Maryland, and I pulled 112' 4" my very first try.  I was pulling with my '58 Case 400 (narrow front end), which I also got to drive in the Parade of Power.  The winning pull was 175' in the 6500 lb. class.  My goals were:
1.  Not to humiliate myself
2.  Not to run over the little man that hooks the sled to the tractor.  :D
My only embarrassing moment was when my fella took the tractor to the scales and got weighed and then he stepped off the tractor and told me to step on the scale with the tractor.  The weightmaster said, "Same weight"!!  I could have died!   8)  Well, he's VERY skinny!!   :D

The pictures are.......we forgot the camera!   :)  The good news is, that a professional photographer did capture the moment and hopefully we can post that when it comes.   ???
Ed K, you should give it a try.  We take ours right out of the field and onto the track.  We use that tractor everyday.
Massey's do real nice and I hate to say it, but Oliver's are the hardest to beat.   ;)

There is another pull in New Boston N.H.(Hillsbrough County Fair) on friday 9/10 starting at noon.
And yes Roxie those old ollivers are tough to beat,as well as the  old Johnney Poppers. Love them 2 banngers.
I`m thinking about letting the kids enter our little 320 in the 3000lb class

We simply continue to fly ........

We are flexible like that.

olies??  That's cuz you never pulled against a MIMO!!!!  Gotta run it wide open and ease out the clutch.  next time, try hooking up off center.  When you do that, it's easier to get the boat moving.  It'll jerk it side ways to break free and you'll actually move more weight that way.  Once you get it moving it's easy, the hard part is breaking the friction of the stone boat!!
