Is it necessary to change the receiver if the system has been open? Had to change the compressor and a line.
2013 westernstar tri-axle with 2015 rotobec elite 80 loader!Sold 2000 westernstar tractor with stairs air ride trailer and a 1985 huskybrute 175 T/L loader!

you also need a vachum pump to clean the system. then start over and hope the compressor is ok. they do not likr air and moisture

New drier and pump it down before you try to run it

be sure to add oil to the compressor and rotate it by hand for 2 or 3 revolutions before starting up.

  Sometimes it's also necessary to add oil into the system when replacing the compressor.  It depends if you drained the oil out of the old compressor or not.  Your best bet would be to check manual.
