This is out of a 48" 28 tooth circle blade.  I can't find any ID markings.  As you can tell, its been exposed to the elements for quite a long time.

Looked at Simonds and it appears to be a 3 regular shank and regular bit...??

Need help to confirm what style, size, etc.  Thanks for the assistance!!

It looks to be of the number variety of shank.  I've never used them.  But, it is a regular type of shank.  Whoever you buy shanks and bits from could give you a better idea of what it is and whether the saw is worth anything.

Could possibly be an old Diston they were quite simular to a #3.I would find a sample numbered shank and try it if not quite big enough probibly a Diston. If its a Diston saw your up poo creek they haven't been made for many many years, bits or shanks. Frank C.

Gday

Im thinkin and Hoping you have a #3 bit and shank there the good thing is that the saw plate and the pockets for the shanks look to be in good nick Mate  ;)

Worst case is you have a nice saw to hang on the wall or make a sign outa if it is a Diston  !

It does appear that the previous owner got the maximum use out of the bit.

I have a blade in a little worse condition, it's hanging on the barn as a decoration.
