Well we got our new woodmaster 718 in yesterday and started setting it up. Well after a few hours yesterday and a couple more today we are now running. This thing is pretty amazing, what took us a week before now takes us a couple hours. I will try to post some pics tomorrow. Anyone else have one of these units? I was wondering if there were any issues with them?

Can't answer your question, but good to see you posting again!  :)

Thanks Okra it's good to be back. We have been very busy and doing well thanks to all the information we have recieved from the fine folks here. We have been so busy on the grade stake front it's not even funny. By the end of this month we will have 15k out the door so far this year. I have done a few mobile jobs but mostly gradestakes and trailer decking. This new woodmaster unit we bought is a 4 in 1 unit and it's worth every dime we paid for it. It allows us to process what would have taken us a week before. I was just wondering if anyone else here had one and could give me a heads up on consumeable parts that we should have on the shelf.

I think my buddy in Idaho has one, but he isn't on the Forum.

I have one. If I were going to use it everyday I would prolly stock belts, feed rollers, sandpaper, velcrow, and planer blades. That would be a good start anyways.

We have another set of belts on order and plan on ordering the spiral plaine head later. Right now what we use it for most is the gangsaw application. The bearings, lockcollars and set screws I can get locally so I'm not to worried about those. Feed rollers is a good one, I never thought about those. Thanks for the thought Jake.

Had one. Sold it. We didn't have any problems with the unit. Put several miles of boards through it using the gang ripsaws. They just seem to be a good machine without much mant. Only thing I didn't like was the speed. was kind of slow.

Cant wait to see how it works for ya! I am looking at buying one after the $20,000.00 molding machine that was giving to me was a total flop. I've heard there great and the people there are pretty much the same people you deal with on Timberkings.

Are you gang sawing green lumber?  I had thought about using mine as an edger....  I don't know if that's practical or not.
