Cutting today my rig started to bind going down the track. Looked for something wedging it and finally traced it the the bolt that secures the drive gear for the forward/reverse motor had come loose and was binding against the rail. This was strange because the gear did not come loose. The 3/8s bolt was wallered out and a trip to the machine shop fixed it by drilling it out to a 7/16. One hour later fixed and back up. Started the mill and it bound up again. The root cause was that the bolt attaching the electric strip had come loose. It contacted the drive bolt causing it to come loose. Everything is now tight and the cost was one 4/4 cedar fence post for tapping the bolt out.
