All my neighbors made fun of me, because in their opinion I used too much wood, bracing, concrete. etc.

I wanted a stout 12' x 16' building.

My first concrete form.

I didn't take pictures of the framing. It took me 16 hours using a bostitch framing nailer (love those things!)

Framed in the electrical box.

I used mobile home tie down straping and lag bolts to anchor my walls to the concrete pad and shore the whole thing up.

Done on the outside almost done on the inside.

paneled and pulling wire.

Gotta have my bluegrass

Total build time approx 43 hours, no help, mad wife, and she still won't enter it.

My reward for getting it done in 2 weeks.

Nice!   My building was the same size and I am going on 3 months I think.  :D
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Modat22, Looking good. You are one up on Jeff, you have an AC in yours. :D Of course in Michigan he doesn't need one as bad as we do down here in Ky. ;)

The secret is.. Loads of coffee and a peeved off wife.

You'll want to stay away from the wife but you'll need a good excuse. I was only able to work on the building after 7pm at night and on weekends so I put in many a midnight working on this thing.

I'm a bit obsessive though, when I say I'm going to get something done, I will sweat, bleed and make myself sick till its done.

That AC Has really made a difference let me tell ya. It also works great for cooling out a deer carcus.

I need heat in there now though but the wallet is totally empty till after Christmas, right now I turn on a 500 watt HPS MH combo light in there to bring the temp up. Believe it or not it actually heats it up really well and as an indirect light source is wonderful for wood working projects (if you wear your sunglasses)

Cool Shed  :)

Remember the 3 little pigs.. a little more concrete and bracing just means it will still be there AFTER the next big windstorm  ;)

Ah!  That Cohiba is definitely worth the work.   8) Did you baptize the building by lighting up inside?   :D  And do I see a little "Havana" on the label?   ;)

Oh...and the building looks just terrific too!   8)
Y'all can pronounce it "puh-SKOLLY"

yes to all the above  8)

An equipment rep gave me a couple of those cigars since I was the only one he knew that smoked them. I'm a "back woods smokes" smoker myself but man those cigars where good.

There IS a reason people say Cuban cigars are the best...

Maybe I should build a shed, just so long as there's a Cohiba from Havana at the end.   :D

Nice looking shed,  Modat.  are you going to build any modat?

That's powder coated steel,  isn't it?  I sided a 40x60 bank barn with it 10 years ago and holding up fantasticly.

You might put some gutter on to keep moisture away from your pad.  One thing I do is just leave a couple of feet extra on the gutter and tip it off the back. It'll dig a hole but a little gravel will make a mini french drain.   Avoids down spouts which plug up.  I avoid 'em tho I know there's guys with cisterns who have to have them.

I've had my share of Cohibas.  Fairly peppery.  My daily smoke is a El Verso Bouquet  out of Frankfurt , Indiana.   Good cheep maduro .  guess it's down by the river and grows baccy' good as Kentucky.

(Wish there was an Icon with a cigar!)

I built that as a wood working / metal working shop but its way to small for the tools I have in there now. I'd really like to put a 20 x 30 building up with a loft for wood storage and turn the small building into my bedroom and let the wife have the house.

You know that move where Hulk Hogan gets up on the ropes and does an elbow drop on a guys throat?   My wife taught him that!   :D :D :D
