I hit the jackpot, for a hobby guy like me. A guy calls last week and asked if I would be interested in some logs, if I would haul them, I could have them. Three miles from me, turns out I graduated with him. He has a few acres that he is clearing, he is cutting them, limbing them and cutting them to length My dad and I are dragging them out and loading them on our dump trailer. Brought 50+ pine and poplar logs (4 loads) home yesterday in about 5 hours. Granted some are small, but I'm a small operation. There is probably 20-30 more loads. I traded him some beekeeping equipment for the logs and promised to help him with his bees (he's just starting out)

Good one ,you can make some good lumber with them, and the logs won't go to waste, good luck :)

Those logs are very nice and very straight.  You will mill some fine lumber from them!

Nice to see pics of Lowgap. My aunt and uncle retired there in the '60s. Nice find on the logs, too.

Great score, plus that close to home probably doesn't hurt your feelings any.

Most of it will go into 1x's which I will probably sell, some 2x's as we need them for something. I have told the guy that gave them to me that if he ever needs any lumber, to let me know and it will be done.
