videos start playing automatically ??

All of a sudden videos are starting by themselves !
Is there a way to control this ?
It's not very handy when the video has started before I've even read the first post in a thread and the video is 8 replies down !

Is it playing, or loading the preview frame? How do you get the Flash menu up? On a PC it's right mouse button while hovering the pointer over the video window. Maybe a setting needs changing.

Nothing has changed on the forum end of things. Whether youtube made a change in player code I don't know, but I checked some of the embedded videos here, and at least on a P.C., they are not auto playing for me. They always have auto started on the youtube pages for me though.

It's happened with others the last few days but not all ???

I delete youtube cookies every day along with many others.

I'll try refreshing the browser.

Are you using the safari plugin clicktoflash?  If so, that is your problem more than likely.

I've never heard of clicktoflash ! Is that something I would have to have added ?It doesn't happen with all videos.

My browser is blocking anything that's not from Youtube, but allowing the preview to load on Youtube. I've probably set it to block them a long time ago and forgot. The flash photo uploader on the forum isn't blocked.

I finally got mad..... Had to get the clicktoflash app to make it stop.

Just very annoying when a thread has several videos in it and they all start... or previewing a topic using the hovering cursor and the video starts....

I have no idea what changed. This just started 10 days ago and it does not match up well with a limited data internet subscription :
