I was just watching Bibbyman's youtube channel, and was wondering what was hanging down at the end of the mill. They look like strings of metal tubing?

i think you're probably referring to the dragback fingers?  after you cut a board or whatever when the mill returns to the fore position they drag it back for you.  then you send it down a roller table or put it on the stack.  i'd love to have those!

i wasn't sure. I saw his board drag back was bringing the boards back on the return. Is the board drag back secondary to those "fingers"?

If you watch the sawing 8x8 video, you will get to see them in use.  I think I mentioned them in the walk through video. They are a copy of the guides that Wood-Mizer put on the LT70 and industrial mills.
