 Today I had the pleasure of meeting another Forum member. SW_IOWA_SAWYER (George)drove up to do a little trading with me! Had an enjoyable visit, the weather cooperated,and we both treasured our trades.I hope he has a safe drive home.

  

     In addition to the carvings he brought a couple sticks of walnut for me to saw,can't wait till I have time to cut them!

Looks like the back of his truck was loaded with material for carving? or was that the walnut? Looks like diffeant wood was used for each figure. They sure do look nice.

 The large one is butternut, the brown one is cottonwood bark,guessing the Santa is basswood. The truck contains cottonwood bark. I also wish I had a talent for that.
