has anyone used the woodlandpro oils?  also   whats your thoughts of opti 2?  I have been using stihl but loking for an alternative

Stihl  has always worked for me so I'm going to stick with it. For all I know, all the 2 stroke mix oils may come out of the same refinery but this is one of those things where a few extra bucks is cheap insurance to keep my expensive saws healthy.

Stihl has always worked for me...

+1

I use Stihl oil in my personal saws and it has served me well over the years. Oh, there was a time I succumbed to the siren call of Amsoil 100:1. And, while this temptress of a vixen seemed to work well enough, I wasn't convinced it was adding any qualifiable benefit to my life.  Like a true gentleman, I faithfully returned to Stihl, with hat in hand.

But, the memories still linger, like a soft perfume in the air... :)

Woodland Pro synthetic meets JASO FC/FD and ISO-L-EGD specs. Stihl doesn't.

'Nuff said for me. Lots cheaper than engines. I really like free rings- where you can't see what's going on.

I've put many hours on 2 cycle equipment, not as much with chainsaws specifically, but I use WoodlandPRO 50:1 in everything and never had a problem.

I use Stihl synthetic but I really can't tell the difference with any name brand I've used.I don't use enough to fret over the price.Amsoil 100/1 mixed to 50/1 should give anyone a warm safe feeling. Frank C.
